Here I am 3 Weeks into my diet and I have managed to stay on track! This week I have lost 2lb and my weight loss total for the diet is now 5 lbs! My BMI has gone from a 27 to a 26. It nice to see results, but I think any woman on a diet would have wanted to lose more weight.
My motivation for next week will be to lose 3 lbs instead of 2. The past few weeks I was very good on the diet but still allowed myself some cheats (Monday was Valentine’s Day I wasn't not going to eat chocolate!). This week I am going to try very hard to stay on track and not get derailed by going out with my husband and friends. I also have not done much cardio at all. I'm sure if I just did a little 3 or 4 times a week that would also help.
Anyone have any fun winter workouts they recommend? I will be happy when the weather warms up and I can go back to walking my 2 miles a day.
Check out some suggestions from Fab Fit Fun for low cal cocktails.

Make your own mixers: A standard sweet and sour mix is practically all sugar and can run up to 200 calories. Kim suggests tossing the bottle and whipping up your own: mix 2 parts lime juice, 2 parts lemon juice, and 3 parts agave nectar. You’ll get vitamins from the fresh juices and Agave has 20% fewer calories than the sugary syrup typically found in mixers.
Go for the bubbly: Trade your wine for champagne and you’ll save about 15 calories a serving. To make it seasonal, Kim suggests adding 3/4 oz of Aperol – it’s deep red and delish with bubbly.
Go Fresh: Kim suggests winterizing your cocktails with seasonal produce and spices. Cherries and oranges are great right now, and muddled herbs add flavor with zero calories!
Substitute: Instead of using heavy cream in eggnog, use Almond Vanilla Milk – it has about 1/10th of the calories. And instead of sugar, try Stevia, Splenda, agave, or Monin syrup.
Try a Light Spiced Cosmo: You’ll need 2 oz orange vodka, 4 lime quarters, a dash of cinnamon, 1 oz sugar-free Monin syrup, and 1 oz light cranberry juice. Muddle the lime quarters with the ground cinnamon, syrup and cran. Add the vodka. Top with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into chilled martini glass. 140 calories.
